This illustration was produced as part of an entry to the RIBA Pylon Design Competition.

Against the odds and some stiff competition it was shortlisted, and appeared on the BBC, The Guardian, and through media outlets worldwide

The Concept:

First Principle - Each pylon should be unique and resplendent

Second Principle - Pylons will become generators of energy from renewable soutces such as Earth, Wind, Fire, Photovoltaics, Solar Thermal Panels, Wind Turbine, and Love

Third Principle - Overhead cables will no longer be required. Energy will be distributed as "Energy Orbs" delivered directly to individual houses and businesses by trained monkeys via a system of underground tunnels. One "Energy Orb" will provide a weeks energy consumption for an average household.
